About the Performance
It’s time to celebrate! The Arts & Business Alliance of Eugene (ABAE) invites you to the Spring BRAVA Livestream. Curl up with a cup of coffee or tea and join us from the comfort of your home as we take a moment to celebrate the creativity and connections that make Eugene so wonderful.
This sparkling celebration will be broadcast live from the Hult Center on Friday, June 4, from 8:00 am – 9:30 am.
At this event Eugene Mayor Lucy Vinis will present awards to the winners of the Fentress Award and the Eugene Arts & Letters Award.
The Eugene Arts & Letters Award recognizes an individual who has significantly contributed to the enrichment of Eugene through their work as a visual, performing, or literary artist. The Fentress Award recognizes a local arts organization for exceptional work and achievement.
This year’s honorees are:
Upstart Crow Studios Children’s Theatre (Fentress Award)
Sharon Schuman (Eugene Arts & Letters Award)
In addition, ABAE Executive Director Kelly Johnson will present awards to the Arts & Business Partnership Award winner and the Dave Hauser Business of the Year.
The Arts & Business Partnership Award recognizes innovative arts-business partnerships that positively impact our community. The Dave Hauser Business of the Year Award recognizes a local business that has demonstrated consistent and significant arts support.
This year’s honorees are:
Galleria at the Smith and local artists (Arts & Business Partnership Award)
Emge & Whyte, Certified Public Accountants (Dave Hauser Business of the Year)
The BRAVA Livestream will illuminate the great work these artists, organizations, and businesses are doing for our community. The morning will also include a performance from the Eugene Ballet Company (featuring choreography by ABAE board member Sabrina Madison-Cannon) and updates on what’s happening at the ABAE.
